“…Diabetes mellitus may lead to the development of diabetic foot syndrome (DFS) and due to the complications resulting from the violation of biochemical processes in the human body, may cause tissue degradation, non-healing wounds, physical deformities of the feet, gait disturbances and, in the worst cases, may result in complete amputation of the limb.
