The Development of Facility Construction and Community Care in Residential Area

Abstract

This study examined the facility construction of a residential area from the perspective of community care through a case study. An analysis was conducted of Kitasuma-danchi developed by Hyogo housing coop. Kitasuma-danchi comprised 2,000 residences and facilities. Facilities for the elderly and the disabled were gradually provided by the housing coop , the residents' association, and several social welfare corporations.
