Abstract:This paper discusses the operation of the Bi-Polar Synchronous Rectifier (BPSR) a special purpose low frequency amplifier topology. Energy conversion through an output transformer is done a t a frequency much higher than the desired operating waveform frequency. An active rectifier demodulates the switched waveform passing only the desired low frequency waveform to the load. This feature can lead to substantial size and weight reduction in the amplifier. as transformer magnetic volume decreases with increasing… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
