The Desk Study

Abstract: The desk study is where a basic understanding of the site is developed. We also begin to identify what we know and do not know about the site along with a preliminary conceptual model for the site. The desk study includes the acquisition of relevant existing data that covers the regional setting, its geology and geomorphology (the sites geologic history) as well as local and possibly site-specifi c conditions.
