The design and test of dual/triple-mode bandpass filter based on temporal coupled-mode theory

Abstract: In this article, the design and test of both a K-band dual-mode bandpass filter (BPF) pair and a K-band triple-mode BPF are presented based on N-mode temporal coupledmode theory (CMT). The expressions of transmission and reflection responses are analytically derived. All the parameters in the expressions have clear physical meanings and are easily optimized to reach the required filter performance. Aided by eigenmode simulations, concrete structures of the three integrated BPFs are designed and optimized to ap… Show more

“…, the two degenerate modes of a ring resonator are used to design dual‐band bandpass filter by introducing perturbation. Dual‐mode and multi‐mode Stub‐Loaded Resonators (SLRs) have been effectively utilized to design dual‐band BPF with good selectivity characteristics . The current filtering requirements for the emerging microwave applications demand for controllability and high selectivity along with a very compact size …”
