The dental patient with special needs: a review of indications for treatment under general anesthesia

Abstract: General anesthesia (GA) can play an important role in the facilitation of dental treatment for individuals who present with challenging behaviors. This article presents a review of the literature discussing indications for the utilization of GA in the treatment of dental patients with special needs.
