The Decision Model for Selection of Tourism Site Using Analytic Network Process Method

Abstract: The criteria and sub criteria-based decision model for selection of tourism site using Analytic Network Process (ANP) method was to be implemented in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. In this study, we proposed criteria and sub criteria that influenced each other and had feedback between the two so that there was a comparison of tourism site alternatives according to sub criteria and pairwise comparative assessment with scale 1-9 that was then calculated in form of matrix of pairwise comparison. The result of this study … Show more

“…This field encompasses several approaches, including rational choice theory [ 18 , 19 ] (which assumes that individuals make decisions based on a rational, calculation of costs and benefits), behavioral decision theory [ [20] , [21] , [22] ] (which recognizes that psychological and emotional factors influence real-world decision-making), prospect theory [ 23 , 24 ] (which focuses on how people value gains and losses and how they perceive risk), and heuristics and biases [ [25] , [26] , [27] ] (which examines how people use mental shortcuts or rules of thumb to make decisions and how these shortcuts can lead to systematic errors). Regardless of the approach, decision-making theory [ 12 , 13 ] aims to improve our understanding of how people make decisions and to help individuals and organizations make better choices.…”

“…The goal of the paper is to survey the process of making the decision involved in antagonistic digital interaction [ [12] , [13] , [14] ] among users of digital social channels and to propose methods to mitigate the adverse effects of the dissemination of harmful content and the unfair practices of competitors within the digital social channel ecosystem. The study aims to optimize efficacy through the implementation of the Wald criteria while minimizing potential hazards by adhering to the Savage criteria [ [15] , [16] , [17] ].…”

“…Using the ANP model, the strategies were then prioritized, and the optimal strategy was selected. The ANP model, one of the multi-criteria decision analysis (MCDA) methods, has various advantages, including measuring different criteria based on their relationships, the complexity of other issues, and achieving better results [54]. The ANP procedure is realized through four steps [55,56]: (I) Modeling and converting a problem into a network structure: When the problem is converted into a network structure, the nodes are presented as clusters.…”

All of these MCDM methodologies can also be used for tourist destination evaluation.…”
