Abstract: Vertical farming (VF), the cultivation of crops in enclosed and sunless environments, is touted as a solution to global challenges like population growth, urbanization, and climate change, thanks to land conservation, sustainability, reduced water usage, enhanced food safety, and shorter supply chains.
