Abstract: Brazil is one of the epicenters of the COVID-19 pandemic (i.e., 563,470 deaths until August 9th, 2021). Since the Brazilian government is partly struggling and partly unwilling to control the pandemic, staying healthy falls almost exclusively to the population. “…Individuals with a resilient profile possess dispositions and self-efficacy beliefs conducive to a generally positive outlook toward life, to feel capable to express joy and satisfaction and manage anger responses also toward a challenging situation, as well as to tolerate frustrations, to dominate and modulate emotional and behavioral reactions, and a lower tendency to have prolonged negative antagonistic thoughts toward threatening experiences. “…This result is in line with those of the studies carried out by Casado-Aranda et al ( 2021 ), Grammes et al ( 2020 ) and Malik et al ( 2021 ). Another interesting fact is that, despite Brazil being one of the most affected countries by the pandemic, it does not have sufficient resources for conducting research, when compared to the already mentioned countries (Monteiro et al 2022 ).…”

“…Brazil has more manuscripts with classes B and C, especially of the latter type. A possible cause for this case could be the excessive cuts in research funding and the lack of incentives for education and research, through the policy of the current government of this country (Monteiro et al 2022 ).…”

“…Research suggests that COVID-19 worry is related to a more adaptive response from individuals as they perceive the pandemic as more of a threat, predicting greater compliance with restrictions (Monteiro et al, 2022). Therefore, followers with high levels of sustained COVID-19 anxiety might have been more critical of their organization's COVID-19 responses.…”
