Abstract:Shear strain in soil is one of the most important factors controlling the response of soil layers under earthquake. Therefore, recognition of changes in soil behaviour under different strain amplitudes is necessary. Based on the published experimental data, alternative cyclic strain regime divisions are proposed. The cyclic strain thresholds that represent the change in cyclic behaviour and properties of soil are used to divide these different cyclic strain regimes. The criteria taken into account to obtain th… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
