“…A search of the Web of Science database with “fluorosulfate” as the keyword yields only ca. 200 results, most of which refer to mixed fluoride/sulfate compounds and not to those containing genuine anions of fluorosulfuric acid, HSO 3 F. A query of the structural databases revealed only thirteen distinct entries representing quasibinary metal derivatives M(SO 3 F) x (those of Li,1 Na,2 K,3 Rb,2,4 Cs,5,6,7 Tl,2 Ag I ,8 Ag II ,9 Sn II ,10 and Au III ) 11. Mixed‐cation (i.e., quasiternary) salts of fluorosulfuric acid [M (1) x M (2) y (SO 3 F) z ] have been even less carefully scrutinized, and only three Cs–Au, Cs–Pt, and Cs–Sb derivatives have been structurally described 7.…”
