“…The structure of (I) ( Fig. 1) resembles other functionalized phthalimides, namely N-trichloromethylthio-3a,4,7,7atetrahydrophthalimide (Captan; Moss & Jacobson, 1981), N-(2-nitrophenylthio)phthalimide (Iwasaki & Masuko, 1986) and N-tert-butyldithiophthalimide (Mazhar-ul-Haque & Behforouz, 1979). The thiophthalimido group is slightly folded, with a dihedral angle of 3.5 (4) between the N1/C2/C3/C8/C9 and C3±C8 planes, whereas nitrophenyl-and butyldithiophthalimide are more planar with corresponding angles of 1.4 and 1.5 , respectively.…”
