The creation and monitoring of a network for solid healthcare waste management

Abstract: Healthcare waste mismanagement constitutes a serious environmental and sanitary problem, especially in developing countries. “…"arcenciel" monitors IHCW quantities and reports them to the Ministry of the Environment. As required by the Lebanese decree 13389; 2004, the Ministry of the Environment monitors the whole system and "arcenciel" facilities through environmental impact assessments, audits, and regular reports (Maamari et al, 2015a).
