The costs of health literacy in the technotronic age

Abstract: The article is devoted to an important problem of literacy of the population in the field of health preservation. The authors conduct a brief analysis of school textbooks that address the problems of epidemic diseases, including viral etiology, measures of control and prevention. The article draws attention to the shortcomings of the schemes offered by the publications and makes recommendations for changing the content of the educational literature.
