The control of energy production system created from fuel cell and different solar panels via microcontroller

Abstract: In the study, the energy that monocrystalline, polycrystalline and thin-film solar panels of equal power produce was combined on the electronic board and hybrid solar system was created. Fuel cell was added to this hybrid system, so providing diversity in energy production sources. The produced electrical energy flow was controlled by using different energy sources types together. Battery groups were connected to the control circuit for storing the produced energy. Also, the receiver loads, which would redirec… Show more

“…There are several energy sources that can be interconnected to the system in the context of distributed generation and microgrids. The most widely used renewable sources nowadays are wind turbines and photovoltaic modules and, owing to their intermittent nature, their combination with other energy sources and batteries is an interesting solution to increase the reliability of the continuous energy supply [1], [2]. Another trend in distributed generation is the use of electric vehicles (EVs) with bidirectional chargers which present grid-to-vehicle (G2V) and vehicle-to-grid (V2G) functions [3].…”

“…The last few decades have witnessed an increasing interest in renewable energy systems, creating the need for the use of integrated converters capable of interfacing and simultaneously controlling various power sources. Wind generators and photovoltaic panels are two of the most important renewable sources and, due to their intermittent nature, their combination with other power sources is necessary to increase the reliability of the continuous power supply (Karakan et al, 2019;Noghreian and Koofigar, 2019;Spier et al, 2019).…”
