The construction of clay liners for landfills

Abstract: Correct liner installation is fundamental to the construction of a containment landfill. The significance of material properties and the requirements of field placement and compaction are presented. The principle of demonstrating by means of construction quality assurance (CQA) that a mineral liner has been placed in accordance with the design requirements is discussed.
