The aim of this paper is a theoretical and academic analysis on the
importance of devictimizing and depathologizing trans and non-binary persons
and identities in school, and towards opening the platform for such research
in Serbia. Since school is recognized as the key site of materialization of
gender agency which often causes discrimination of gender minorities and
even violence, it is of utter importance to work on the implementation of
recommendations and examples of good practice in schools, especially in the
processes of education and knowledge transference. This paper analyses the
available research results and concludes by mapping the ideas for future
theoretical, academic and practical research routes of this kind in the
local context.
