“…As some conjunctival cells could attach to the surface and give rise to small cell populations (Figure 5A, asterisks), we hypothesized that the problem did not arise from the mechanical properties of the hydrogel but rather from the conjunctival cells experiencing difficulties to attach to the hydrogel after migration out of the explant.
