The conditional diagnosability of crossed cubes under the comparison model

Abstract: The growing size of the multiprocessor systems increases their vulnerability to component failures. It is crucial to locate and replace the faulty processors to maintain the system's high reliability. The fault diagnosis is the process of identifying faulty processors in a system through testing. The conditional diagnosis requires that for each processor v in a system, all the processors that are directly connected to v do not fail simultaneously. In this paper, we show that the conditional diagnosability of t… Show more

“…Upon the receipt of the two responses, the processor compares them and proclaims that the two neighbors are both fault-free or at least one of them is faulty. Conditional diagnosability for interconnection networks under the MM model has been investigated in various studies [6,11,12,13,14,16,19,25,26].…”

“…This idea was attributed to Lai et al [7] who is the first to use a restricted diagnosis strategy. Recently, the conditional diagnosabilities of cross cubes are also obtained [18].…”

“…The Josephus Cube [5] is a recently proposed novel interconnection network that has improved topological and exhibits better embedding and communications performance than the Binary Hypercube and several of its variants [18,20]. Its link-augmented form, Complete Josephus Cubes, can also be applied as node cluster in an optical-based architecture suitable for large-scale hierarchical networks [6].…”

“…Furthermore, Hsu et al [11] exposed the difference between these two conditional diagnosis models. Recently, Zhou [33] investigated the conditional diagnosability of the crossed cube CQ n through the fault tolerance of CQ n . Zhou and Xiao [34] obtained the conditional diagnosability of the alternating group network.…”
