The Condensation of 3-Amino-5-Pyrazolones With Aldehydes Syntheses of 5-Pyrazolonoguanidines

Abstract

3-Amino-5-pyrazolonrs did not react with guanidinc in aqueous solutio~i, but with aldehydes in the presence of piperidine, the amino gronp was removed in some cases. 5-Pyrazolorloguanidines were synthesized by the direct fusion of 3-amino-5-pyrazolo~~es ancl dicyandiamide. Thc infrared spectra of the pyrazolone derivatives prepared are briefly discussed.
