The complete chloroplast genome of Archakebia apetala (Lardizabalaceae)

Abstract: The complete chloroplast genome of Archakebia apetala, a monotypic genus endemic to China, was determined. The size of complete chloroplast genome is 157,929 bp, containing a large single copy (LSC) region of 86,630 bp and a small single copy region (SSC) of 19,001 bp, separated by a pair of inverted repeats (IRs) of 26,149 bp. The chloroplast genome encodes 113 unique genes, including 79 protein-coding genes, 30 tRNA genes, and 4 rRNA genes. Among them, 15 genes have one intron each and 3 genes contain two in… Show more

“…Due to lacking of molecular markers and genome information, the phylogenetic relationship of R. delavayi with other related species is still unclear. Recently, the chloroplast (cp) genomes have been widely used for phylogenetic reconstruction attributing to advances in high-throughout sequencing technology (Li et al 2019;Yan et al 2019). Herein, the complete cp genome sequence of R. delavayi was deciphered and the phylogenetic relationship with related species was also detected.…”

“…This somewhat in accordance with the cp genome of Sorbus folgneri (Qiu et al 2019). In addition, 19 genes contained two exons and four genes (clpP, ycf3, and two rps12) contained thee exons which in accordance most of the plant cp genomes (Han et al 2019;Li et al 2019;Yi et al 2019).…”

“…At present, the research on A. tsao-ko mainly focuses on the chemical composition and pharmacological effects, while there are few studies on the molecular aspects (Lu et al 2018). The complete chloroplast genome would be useful to shed light on the phylogenetic relationships of A. tsao-ko (Wu et al 2017;Li et al 2019). In this study, the complete chloroplast genome sequence of A. tsaoko is first reported, it will provide useful information for better understanding the evolution of the whole Zingiberaceae family.…”
