The complete chloroplast genome of the endangered plant Paphiopedilum wardii (Orchidaceae)

Abstract: Chloroplast (cp) genome sequences provide a valuable source for phylogenetic analysis, which becomes a popular tool for population and phylogeny in a recent report. Here, the complete chloroplast genome of the Paphiopedilum wardii has been reconstructed from the whole-genome Illumina sequencing data. The circular genome is 169,820 bp in size and comprises a pair of inverted repeat (IR) regions of 33,641 bp each, a large single-copy (LSC) region of 98,872 bp and a small single-copy (SSC) … Show more

“…The chloroplast genome sequences have been utilized as reliable tools for phylogeneitc and evolutionary research (Wang et al 2018). In recently, many chloroplast genomes of valuable plants have been reported Liu and Han, 2018;Zheng et al 2018;Wang et al 2018;Kwon et al 2019;Yang et al 2019;Zhu and Sun 2019). To facilitate its genetic research and contribute to its utilization, we reported the complete chloroplast genome sequence of A. chinensis based on Illumina HiSeq X Ten.…”

“…The chloroplast genome sequences have been utilized as reliable tools for phylogenetic and evolutionary research (Shi et al 2012;Cheng et al 2018;Wang et al 2018). In this study, we conducted the sequencing of C. canadensis chloroplast genome and the phylogenetic analysis with other Asteraceae chloroplast genomes.…”
