Abstract:This paper focuses on the Islamic perspectives in the Syair Alif Ba Ta (Cod. Or. 1735). Ahmad (1989: XIII) states that an Islamic artist (poet) is also someone that is open minded and is not narrow minded. The Islamic poet also has to fight for human rights.
