Abstract:IntroductionMethylglyoxal (MGO) is a toxic and highly reactive alphaoxoaldehyde produced during glycolysis enhanced in disorders characterized by increased oxidative stress. 1 Methylglyoxal is a somewhat viscous clear yellow liquid with a strong odour.
