The Clinical Significance and Potential Molecular Mechanism of PTTG1 in Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma

Abstract: Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) is the major histological type of esophageal cancers worldwide. Transcription factor PTTG1 was seen highly expressed in a variety of tumors and was related to the degree of tumor differentiation, invasion, and metastasis. However, the clinical significance of PTTG1 had yet to be verified, and the mechanism of abnormal PTTG1 expression in ESCC was not clear. In this study, the comprehensive analysis and evaluation of PTTG1 expression in ESCC were completed by synthesizi… Show more

“…Five views were taken per tissue. 39,40 For IHC of ESCC tissues, tissues were subjected to immunostaining using antibodies FAM135B. These retrospective ESCC specimens from patients after platinumbased neoadjuvant therapy were obtained from the Fourth Hospital of Hebei Medical University, Shijiazhuang, Hebei, China.…”

“…Before the sequencing experiment, all the tissues were evaluated under the microscope in HE slices, and only the tissues with more than 80% ESCC tumor cells could be included. The specific methods and reagents for RNA‐seq have been described in detail by our team in previous articles [ 44 ]. In the current study, we obtained log 2 (x + 1) level 3 records of ESCC tissues and adjacent normal esophageal tissues from these eight patients with ESCC and obtained RNA‐seq data per million reads (TPM).…”

“…The significance of the sROC AUC value was consistent with the ROC curve. Meanwhile, the sensitivity, specificity and Fagan's Nomogram were calculated to accurately detect the accuracy and effectiveness of BUB1B in identifying NPC patients from non-neoplasm samples [13][14][15].…”
