The Characteristics of an Agent Morphologically Resembling the Chlamydozoaceae and Causing Sinusitis in Turkeys

Abstract: It is a pleasure to thank Dr. Geoffrey Rake for his counsel and encouragement and to acknowledge the technical assistance of Mr. Bernard F. Smith. ' The term infectious sinusitis of turkeys was suggested by Dickenson and Hinshaw (1938) to differentiate it from sinusitis that may occur in connection with reduced vitamin A intake (Hinshaw and Lloyd, 1934) or follow inoculation with Hemophilus gallinarum (Beach and Schalm, 1936).
