The Chandler Lecture Engineering in the Service of Chemistry

Abstract: The honor was bestowed upon Mr. Chilton "for his outstanding achievements in the discovery and formulation of principles underlying the unit operations of chemical engineering, and in the application of these principles to process development, to equipment design, and to chemical plant construction and operation".After Mr. Chilton finished his lecture, Dean Barker of the School of Engineering presented the medal with the following remarks:
