The Bajakah tampala tree (Spatholobus littoral hassk) is a native plant from the interior of the forests in Kalimantan, especially Central Kalimantan. This plant is a plant that stretches or grows and grows abundantly in the interior of the forest. The Bajakah plant is known to the people of Kalimantan as a medicinal plant and can cure various diseases, including diarrhea, rheumatism, and cancer. The aim of this research was to determine the alkaloid content of bajakah root extract in various concentrations. The research method was carried out experimentally, with the independent variable being an ethanol extract of bajakah roots with concentrations of 50, 70, and 96%. Meanwhile, the dependent variables are the characteristics of simplicia, the secondary metabolite content of Bajakah root ethanol extract, and the determination of the total alkaloid content of Bajakah root extract. Bajakah root simplicia extract is made with 96, 70, and 50% ethanol solvents. The parameters used in this study include water content, total ash content, acid insoluble ash content, water soluble extract content, ethanol soluble extract content, and secondary metabolite content, including alkaloids, tannins, flavonoids, saponins, steroids, and terpenoids, by conducting phytochemical screening. , making a standard caffeine solution, determining the maximum wavelength of caffeine, measuring the caffeine calibration curve, and determining the total alkaloid content of Bajakah root extract. The results of the phytochemical screening showed that Bajakah root was positive for containing alkaloid compounds, saponins, tannins, flavonoids, steroids, and terpenoids. And the results obtained from Bajakah root plants obtained from Central Kalimantan were a 96% ethanol concentration of 1.66797 ± 0.7088 mg/gram, a 70% ethanol concentration of 1.6679 ± 0.1124 mg/gram, and a 50% ethanol concentration of 0.46981 ± 1.0656 mg/gram

Penggunaan tumbuhan sebagai ramuan obat sangat berkaitan dengan kandungan kimia yang terdapat dalam tumbuhan tersebut terutama zat aktif biologisnya. Senyawa bioaktif yang terdapat dalam tumbuhan merupakan senyawa metabolit sekunder seperti steroid, flavonoid, alkaloid, saponin, terpenoid dan tanin. Salah satu tanaman yang mengandung senyawa metabolit sekunder yaitu daun pala (Myristica fragrans Houtt). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui senyawa kimia yang terdapat didalam ekstrak etanol dan ekstrak etil asetat dan untuk mengetahui nilai flavonoid total ekstrak etanol dan ekstrak etil asetat daun pala. Tahapan penelitian ini meliputi pengolahan bahan tumbuhan, pembuatan ekstrak etanol dan ekstrak etil asetat, pemeriksaan karakterisasi, skrining fitokimia dan penetapan kadar flavonoid total ekstrak etanol dan ekstrak etil asetat daun pala dengan metode spektrofotometri Visible. Ekstrak daun pala dibuat dengan metode maserasi dengan menggunakan etanol 70% dan etil asetat ekstrak yang diperoleh dipekatkan dengan rotary evaporator, Selanjutnya dilakukan penetapan kadar flavonoid total dengan metode spektrofotometri Visible. Hasil skrining fitokimia pada ekstrak etanol dan ekstrak etil asetat daun pala terdapat kandungan golongan senyawa kimia seperti alkaloid, flavonoid, saponin, tanin, dan steroid/triterpenoid. Hasil penentuan kadar flavonoid total pada ekstrak etanol sebesar 39,7252 ± 1,9596 mg QE/g dan ekstrak etil asetat sebesar 31,1395 ± 0,3983 mg QE/g.

Senggani leaves are a plant that can be found in Indonesia, including hilly locations. The people of Marendal, Patumbak subdistrict, believe that senggani leaves may heal minor skin wounds. The goal of this study was to identify the class of secondary metabolite chemical compounds and their antibacterial efficacy against the microorganisms Propionibacterium acnes and Staphylococcus epidermidis at 5, 10, and 20% concentrations. The ethanol extract of senggani leaves contains secondary metabolite compounds with antibacterial activity. According to the antibacterial test results, a 20% ethanol extract of senggani leaves is effective against Propionibacterium with a diameter of 10.7 mm, a 10% in the medium category with a diameter of 9.27 mm, and a 5% in the medium category with a diameter of 8.8 mm. Meanwhile, the diameter of Staphylococcus epidermidis at a 20% was 8.77 mm in the medium category, 8.37 mm at 10%, and 8.6 mm at a 5% concentration.
