The Bible as Technology: How the Catholic Communication Infrastructure Creates a Path Dependency

Abstract: Situating the Roman Catholic Church within studies of communication infrastructures, my thesis demonstrates how the Church's communication practices were established and entrenched the Church in a path dependency.
