Badanina et al (2006) sugerem, a partir do estudo geoquímico de fluorita, de melt inclusions e dos seus granitos hospedeiros, ricos em Li e F, que os padrões tipo M são tão recorrentes em granitos muito evoluídos que devem ser gerados por processos relativamente comuns, representativos da separação de uma fusão hidrosalina magmática, isto é, um líquido imiscível rico em F. Afirmam que o efeito tétrade torna-se significativo nas fácies mais evoluídas do complexo granítico que contém depósitos de Ta e W, ocorrendo na rocha encaixante, na fluorita e em trapped melt-inclusions.
