Abstract:An experimental investigation was conducted to compare the crash characteristics and energy absorption capacity of a series of composite plate specimens with different corrugation profiles, these are sinusoidal triangles, and squares with flat composite plates placed at the top and bottom of corrugated plates. All these specimens were fabricated from glass fibers with the hand layup technique. Each profile has three different types of specimens: single plates, double plates, and triple plates.
