The Basic Technologies of De-inking Agent and Its Functionalization

Abstract: The technologies of recycling lower quality waste paper have been developed in recent years. As one of suppliers for de-inking agent, we also has developed and functionalized the de-inking agent to solve various problems. In this report, we describe the basic knowledge about types, mechanisms, properties, synthesis of de-inking agent and functionalization of that.

“…However, several types of deinking agents are used by paper manufacturers, and the determination of proper decomposition conditions for various types of deinking agents is time-consuming. Currently, higher alcohol derivatives are the most commonly used deinking agents [27], and their decomposition conditions are generally milder than those for halide antiseptics. Consequently, the decomposition conditions of the antiseptics in the Fujiseishi PS could simultaneously decompose the deinking agents at the same time.…”
