“…Thomas & Jenkins (1940) reported that in Wales during 1937-39, 28% of the tuberculin tested milk samples failed the methylene blue and/or coli-aerogenes tests compared with 33% of accredited milk samples. Thomas & Thomas (1945) placed approximately the same proportions, among fortnightly samples of tuberculin tested and accredited milks examined during 1944 by the routine resazurin test, in categories A, B and C. On the other hand Hughes (1949) found that 36% of the tuberculin tested milk samples examined in Wales during 194647 failed on the methylene blue and/or coli-aerogenes tests compared with 45% of the accredited milk samples.…”
