Abstract

Critical Care Medicine www.ccmjournal.org e817 our own doors. We agree wholeheartedly with the authors that RCUs can add value in many ways, for one institution or across a cost-sharing regionalized system and across the spectrum of possible unit designs. We hope that our recently published findings advance the conversation, attracting the attention of thought leaders and administrators, and possibly furthering widespread adoption. With the authors, we look forward to the day when high-quality critical care is the expected norm for every patient.
