Abstract:Introduction: Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) occurs in stroke with an incidence varying from 10-75%, depending on the diagnostic method and time of evaluation. Platelets play important role in the pathogenesis of thromboembolism. This study aims to determine the association between platelet index and the occurrence of DVT in patients with acute ischemic stroke.
