The main objective of this research is to investigate the causes that lead to financial literacy and how they affect people's prosperity and the nation's economic prosperity. This study examines a substantial amount of literature using a diagnostic research technique in order to pinpoint the key factors influencing financial literacy. The complex concept of financial literacy is made up of three parts: financial knowledge, attitude, and behaviour. The findings indicate that, in addition to an individual's gender, age, and academic accomplishments, socioeconomic, family, and cultural factors also have a substantial impact on that person's level of financial competence. The aforementioned factors are crucial in molding a person's understanding of finance, which subsequently impacts their aptitude for handling money and their financial conduct. Ultimately, a strong foundation in financial literacy has led to the ability to provide stability in finances and promote general prosperity. To sum up, it is critical to address the antecedents of financial literacy. Further research opportunities may involve empirical studies to assess the antecedents in different regions and the development of a systematic model for understanding and enhancing financial literacy.

The study aimed to investigate the allocation of figurative language comprehension (FLC) within the Cattell–Horn–Carroll (CHC) model of cognitive abilities, using three newly developed tests: the Reverse Paraphrase Test (RPT), the Literal Paraphrase Test (LPT), and the Proverb Test (PT). The analysis of a sample of 909 participants revealed that the RPT and LPT measured a unidimensional construct of FLC, while the PT was excluded due to insufficient fit. Combining RPT and LPT items, various models were evaluated, with a bifactor S-1 model showing the best fit, indicating the influence of a general factor (representing FLC) and test-specific method factors. The study explored FLC allocation within the CHC model, supporting its consideration as a distinct factor under the g factor. Examining the nomological network, significant correlations emerged between the Intellectual Curiosity and Aesthetic Sensitivity facets of Openness and FLC, which were comparable in size to the relation with general ability. In conclusion, the study enhances the understanding of FLC within the CHC model, advocating its recognition as a distinct factor. Correlations with Openness facets suggest valuable insights into the interplay between cognitive abilities and personality, necessitating further research for a deeper exploration of this relation.

Realitas yang dihadapi Bumdes "Zansibar" di Desa Taludaa, diantaranya: pengelolaan bisnis yang dilakukan belum memadai untuk menopang pendapatan desa dan kesejahteraan masyarakat, tata kelola usaha BUMDes yang belum memadai, keterbatasan sumber daya mitra dalam pengelolaan keuangan yang memadai, kurangnya inovasi media promosi yang dilakukan. Penguatan kompetensi tata kelola, pengelolaan keuangan dan sistem pemasaran BUMDes penting untuk menciptakan BUMDes yang mandiri dan berdaya saing. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah memberikan edukasi tata kelola BUMDes, literasi keuangan dan sistem pemasaran. Metode yang dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif, metode ceramah, FGD (Focus Group Discussion), pendampingan berbasis kelompok dan individual. Mekanisme tahapan kegiatan pengabdian terdiri dari tahap investigasi, pembekalan, evaluasi, dan implementasi. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian menunjukkan peningkatan motivasi dan pemahaman mitra dalam tata kelola, pengelolaan keuangan dan sistem pemasaran berdasarkan potensi yang dimiliki desa.
