The ASCCP President's Message

Abstract

I t is with great excitement and enthusiasm that I assume the presidency of the ASCCP. I must start with a tribute to my predecessor, Dr Chelmow, and our CEO, Kerry Curtis, who navigated this organization and its educational mission through the many challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. Their innovative expansion of virtual educational opportunities and guidance on using the 2019 ASCCP Risk-Based Management Consensus Guidelines 1 to optimize patient care despite systems-based limitations has been remarkable. The mission of ASCCP has shaped this organization into a leader in the management of anogenital and human papillomavirus (HPV)-related disease. It is my honor to guide our community to the next frontier: reversing the harms of the pandemic.
