The Archaeology of the Tolbooth, Broad Street, Stirling

Abstract: Between December 1999 and May 2000, a series of archaeological excavations and an architectural survey were undertaken in and around the Tolbooth in Stirling prior to the complete renovation of the building. The excavations uncovered information relating to the initial construction of the Tolbooth and to subsequent phases of rebuilding, repair and extension.
