Caves and overhangs have been attractive targets for submerged site prospection in Australia (Dortch 2002;Nutley et al 2016) and these features are strongly associated with archaeological activity in the Northern Territory (Clarkson et al 2017;Shine et al 2015;Wesley et al 2018).
