This paper analyses the extent to which the application of regional commodity-based innovation clusters can improve SMEs' performance. The commodity is related to regional superior products. This research uses quantitative method. The location of this study covered the entire area in Solo for four months in early 2022. The population of this study is SMEs managers in the Solo area who are assisted by the Cooperatives and SMEs Office in Solo. Meanwhile, the sample of this study is cluster SMEs managers who have received guidance from the Solo City Government as many as 500 respondents. In this study, researchers used closed questions with an interval scale with a score of 1-7. This study used the Smart PLS analysis tool version 3.0. The model to be used in this study is a model of causality or relationship or influence and to test the hypothesis proposed, the analysis technique used is SEM. This research finds that the innovation cluster approach in the regions can be an effective tool for regional economic development policies and other related policies, especially integrated innovation policies. This research contributes to using an alternative innovation cluster to increase SMEs' performance based on regional commodities.
