Abstract: SUMMARY The role of reflex mechanisms in the genesis of epilepsy is classified into the following groups: Reflex provocation of an epileptic attack by a constant, more or less defined stimulus. Reflex elevation of paroxysmal susceptibility. Reflex arrest of the development of the crisis. Reflex diminution of the paroxysmal susceptibility and limitation of activity of the focus.
