The application of advanced image processing to rescue camera systems

Abstract: Hand-held thermal imaging systems are an important tool for fire and rescue services conducting search and rescue tasks. However, in order to achieve wide-spread deployment the cost of such systems must be minimised, and this generally leads to reduced image quality.
