With the globalization of world economy and intensification of market competition, the number of customers aware of time is increasing and these customers have paid much more attention to products' supply chain response time than ever before. This market environment has forced enterprises to improve supply chain technology in order to respond to customers' orders more promptly. Based on the comparison of similarities between supply chain collaboration management and multi-Agent system, this paper proposes that supply chain coordination management could be achieved through multi-Agent system. Through constructing a multiAgent based supply chain collaboration model, this paper studies orders' delivery time issue from overall production process and logistics process on the supply chain at the enterprise level, provides suggestions for enterprises to make attractive delivery time/price combination and make on time delivery.

An Auto ID-enabled framework for manufacturing information sharing systems

The current research of Auto ID (Automated Identification) boosts the ubiquitous applications in a broad spectrum including manufacturing and supply chain. This paper proposes an information sharing system framework dwelling on the smooth and integral information access of manufacturing information (e.g. product information, design information and sales information etc.), and the whole product lifecycle management of products. Also, Auto ID system provides a method for a product to rapidly retrieve its needed information when it is transmitted through shop floors and supply chains, during which the generated information by Auto ID readers in return can facilitate the ubiquitous scenarios in manufacturing and initial stages of the whole product lifecycle such as its ordering, design and production. Taking advantage of such information enhancement, a corresponding framework AIDMISS (Auto ID-enabled Manufacturing Information Sharing Systems) enabling the manufacturing information sharing process in manufacturing processes across enterprises is suggested. A case study concerning clutch manufacturing scenario is given to show the effectiveness of the proposed framework on the manufacturing enterprise.

This paper presents a conceptual design of multiagent for adaptive over-current relay coordination. In some temporary circumstances e.g. line outage, connecting a new or existing generator, etc., may lead to mal-operation of precoordinated protective devices in power systems. The set of protective relays must be enhanced with ability of adaptation in such a way that their parameter setting is adjusted. The multi-agent system proposed here is to develop optimal relay coordination adaptively according to environment changes. In this paper, Java Agent Development (JADE) software package was used for implementing the proposed multi-agent system. The communication process and data transfer can be simulated and monitored by using the sniffer agent GUI that helps us to confirm the use of multi-agent systems for an application of adaptive relay coordination. The 6-bus test power system was used for test. The results showed that the use of the multi-agent system is very useful in adaptive overcurrent relay coordination.
