Background: Research on exercise and health promotion has grown significantly, indicating an increasing interest in physical fitness and healthy living among people. Purpose: This study aimed to to provide a comprehensive overview of research on health and sports promotion, identify the field, identify prominent papers and academics, and use keyword analysis to determine the thematic focus. This research hoped to contribute to understanding the emerging dynamics in this interdisciplinary sector. Methods: Bibliometric methods analyse data sets that include publication trends, author information, countries, and newly discovered keywords. This analysis used VOSviewer bibliometric analysis software. The data analysed was 1,850 documents. Results: The results showed a steady increase in publications on sports, physical exercise, and health promotion issues. The reputable publications are those in the “International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health” and “BMC Public Health”. Key phrases, such as “physical activity” and “health promotion” dominate the themes, with the United States and the United Kingdom emerging as important contributors. Conclusion: This study highlighted notable researchers, important sources, and concentrations of subjects in health and exercised promotion research, which underscored its dynamic nature. The knowledge gathered from this bibliometric research contributed to a more complex understanding of this interdisciplinary field’s changing goals and trends. Implications: Thematic concentration and identifying important articles can inspire evidence-based strategies for global health and physical activity promotion, international collaboration, and future research orientation.

Given the unprecedented and profound impact on the traditional sports industry and its economic driving force brought by the “Internet +”, the purpose of this study is to explore the driving relationship between the sports industry and local economic development and deconstruct the dynamic regulation mechanism of “Internet +” on the economic spillover of the sports industry. Empirical data collected from China’s 11 inter-provincial panel data from 2015–2019 were analyzed through the fixed-effects and threshold models. The study finds that the economic spillover of the sports industry has significantly promoted regional economic development, and the regulation effect of the Internet has complex non-linear characteristics. Only when Internet development exceeds a specific threshold can it develop a benign complementary mechanism with the sports industry. The impact of “Internet +” on the threshold regulation of the sports industry economic spillover has spatial and temporal differentiation characteristics in the three dimensions of Internet hardware level, Internet penetration rate, and Internet application value. The results of this study extend the current study, indicating that it is a practical choice for local governments to develop the economy through the sports industry. Provinces and cities should enhance the Internet penetration rate, expand Internet business applications, and upgrade Internet development to a specific point to maximize the drive of positive spillover. Regional heterogeneity requires differential regulation strategies and more concentration on the middle and western regions.

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan adalah kegiatan pelatihan penggunaan aplikasi sport health connection (SHC) sebagai marketplace bagi para guru PJOK menjadi pelatih olahraga. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan manajemen pemasaran profesi pelatih olahraga di Provinsi Bengkulu. Metode kegiatan pelatihan dilakuka selama 1 hari, dengan metode ceramah dan demonstrasi. Jumlah responden sebanyak 25 orang. Hasil kegiatan diperoleh peningkatan pengetahuan profesi pelatih untuk pemasaran profesi pelatih olahraga sebesar 80% dengan kategori baik. Dengan kegiatan ini menunjukan adanyan manfaat pelatihan tersebut kepada para pelatih untuk memasarkan profesi pelatih olahraga di tengah-tengah masyarakat umum
