Nor must we forget the 1266 book reviews which have appeared in the journal. The articles and book reviews, taken together, have (in addition to their intrinsic contents) also served as a litmus of Latin American history over the past twenty-five years. Who has directed the journal over this period? Father Mathias C. Kiemen, O.F.M., was editor from July 1961 to April 1963, when he was succeeded by Father Fintan B. Warren, O.F.M., who would remain at the publication's helm for the next three years. Then, in July 1966, Father Kiemen would resume the editorship through the October 1969 issue. The next two issues (Nos. 3 & 4 of Vol. 25) would be edited by Father Francis F. Guest, O.F.M.
