Abstract:Ants are insects with a high potential to cause injuries in humans. In this study, we documented the first case report resulting from a sting by the Dinoponera quadriceps ant in Brazil. Dinoponera quadriceps stings can result in a range of injuries, including pain at the sting site and systemic symptoms such as fever, tremors, and cardiac arrhythmias.
