The adjustment work canal on the Amudarya in the areas of the damless water intake

Abstract: The paper presents the results of field research in the area of the damless water intake of the KMC on the Amudarya River. The article developed the optimal route and boundaries of the pioneer digging location, depending on the area of the main stream of the river relative to the point of the damless intake. It also provides hydraulic calculations for improving the condition of a damless water intake and recommendations for the rational use and placement of a dredgers fleet when laying a route of a ditch and c… Show more

“…According to our measurements, the flow of traction sediments in the section of the Amudarya River in the head part of the Karshi Main Channel was 10...28%, in the area of the head part the Amu-Bukhara Main Channel 5...37%. In the calculations, approximate values of the water consumptions of traction sediments in the intra-annual context can be taken: during the flood period -15 ... 20 and during the low water period -20 ... 27% of the flow of suspended sediments [12][13][14][15][16][17][18][19][20].…”

“…The real object of research was the real input channels of the ABMCh with a length of 31 and 35 km from AB-1 to AB-2, which are the main channels providing water to the Bukhara and Navoi regions, which, in turn, are the main strategic raw material bases of cotton in the southern region of the Republic of Uzbekistan [16][17][18][19][20].…”
