The actualization of maqāṣid al-Sharīʿah in Islamic finance: a conceptual framework

Abstract: Purpose This paper aims to formulate a conceptual framework that will facilitate the actualization of maqāṣid al-Sharīʿah in product design and consumption within Islamic financial institutions (IFIs).
