The absolute configuration of β‐hydroxyvaline

Abstract: The optical rotatory dispersion spectra of the enantiomers of B-methoxyvaline were measured between 200 and 400 nm. From the Cotton effect at 210 nm follow the absolute configurations, and consequently those of the derived hydroxy amino acids : D-( -)-and L-( i-)-P-hydroxyvaline.P-H ydroxyvaline was formerly mentioned as a natural amino acid 1-3.
