The 1987 Federal field exercise: The DOE experience

Abstract: FOREWORD This document is a compilation of material describing the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) involvement in the second Federal Radiological Emergency Response Plan (FRERP) Field Exercise. This exercise took place in June 1987 at the Zion Nuclear Power Station, Zion, Illinois. Participants in the exercise, which was held to test the FRERP, included the utility (Commonwealth Edison Company), the states of Illinois and Wisconsin, and federal agencies.
